Kuwait has officially begun granting tourist visas on arrival to residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, according to an announcement by First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, HE Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
The decision, published on Sunday in the official gazette Kuwait Alyoum and reported by local media, allows foreign nationals residing in any GCC member state and holding a valid residency permit to enter Kuwait as tourists.
To qualify, applicants must have a residency permit valid for at least six months. The visa will be issued directly at the port of entry upon arrival.
This new measure, which takes effect immediately, aligns with a 2008 regulation governing tourism entry procedures among GCC nations and is expected to further facilitate regional travel.
