Food delivery platform Talabat has resumed operations in Qatar following a one-week administrative closure imposed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI).
The suspension was issued after the company was found to have repeatedly violated consumer protection laws by displaying misleading information about goods and offers. During the closure, Talabat’s services and app were unavailable to customers across the country.
In response, Talabat Holding plc said it had cooperated with authorities and carried out an internal review to address the concerns. The company also pledged to take corrective measures to ensure compliance with Qatari regulations while minimizing disruption for its customers, partners, and riders.
With operations now restored, Talabat remains the leading food and delivery platform in Qatar, continuing its role as a key player in the region’s digital marketplace.
