Qatar, Spain Explore Expanded Cooperation in Education and Research

Qatar and Spain have discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in education, higher education and scientific research, with both sides highlighting the value of stronger academic engagement.

Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, Qatar's Minister of Education and Higher Education, met with His Excellency Alvaro Renedo Zalba, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Qatar, in Doha on Thursday.

The meeting reviewed existing ties between the two countries in the education sector and considered practical avenues to support their continued development in line with shared interests.

Discussions also covered opportunities for institutions in Qatar and Spain to exchange knowledge, expertise and professional experience across a range of educational and academic areas.

The talks reflected the two countries' interest in building closer links between their education and research communities while opening new channels for cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
