Qatar Welcomes Ceasefire Agreement Between Iran and Israel, Reaffirms Commitment to Peace

The State of Qatar has welcomed the recently announced ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, expressing hope that this marks a meaningful step toward resolving regional tensions through dialogue and diplomacy.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar underscored the importance of choosing peaceful and diplomatic avenues to address conflicts — not just in the Middle East but globally. The Ministry emphasized that sustainable peace and regional stability can only be achieved through sincere cooperation and mutual respect.

At the same time, the Ministry reiterated Qatar’s strong condemnation of the Iranian violation of its sovereignty and airspace, describing it as a dangerous escalation that highlights the urgent need for collective regional and international efforts to deter such irresponsible actions.

Qatar reaffirmed its unwavering role as a promoter of peace and stability, grounded in the principles of good neighborliness and non-alignment. The Ministry stressed that Qatar’s dedication to conflict resolution is not driven by political fluctuations but by enduring values and strategic vision.

The State of Qatar also extended its appreciation to HE President of the United States of America Donald Trump for his role in facilitating the agreement and expressed hope that all parties will remain committed to its terms moving forward.
