Qatar Rail Launches 365-Day Metropass at Back to School Event

Qatar Rail announced the launch of its new 365-day Metropass during the “Back to School” event held today at Sport City Station on the Doha Metro’s Gold Line.

Priced at QR990, the annual pass will grant commuters unlimited travel across both the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks.

The “Back to School” event, now in its second edition, is being organized in collaboration with leading school supplies providers in Qatar. It will run from August 19 to September 2, 2025, offering visitors a variety of special promotions and family-friendly activities.

As part of the event, Qatar Rail is introducing an exclusive Early Bird promotion. Visitors can pre-book the pass with a 20% discount by collecting vouchers available only at the event until August 31, 2025. These vouchers can then be redeemed between September 1 and 30, 2025 at any Doha Metro Gold Club office or Lusail Tram ticketing office, provided the original voucher is presented.

The event also gives customers the chance to explore exclusive offers from bookstores and retailers specializing in school supplies ahead of the new academic year.

In addition, from 4 pm to 8 pm on weekdays and 4 pm to 9 pm on weekends, families can enjoy a wide range of free activities, including an interactive gaming zone, painting, coloring, art workshops, competitions, and challenges. Organized in partnership with Qatar Rail’s collaborators, these activities provide opportunities to win exciting prizes.
