The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held an emergency ambassador-level meeting at the UN Headquarters late Monday at the request of the State of Palestine to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza.
During the meeting, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the UN, Riyad Mansour, outlined the ongoing efforts to end the Israeli aggression against Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip. He highlighted the need to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to to abandon the large-scale invasion plan recently approved by the Israeli government.
The OIC Group strongly condemned the Israeli aggression and urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to act immediately for a permanent ceasefire and to ensure unhindered humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.Â
