The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has renewed its call for public participation in enhancing safety by highlighting the Al-Adeed service available within the Metrash mobile application. This digital tool enables citizens and residents to swiftly and anonymously report violations, reinforcing the MoI’s focus on preventive security through technology.
Introduced as part of Metrash’s continuous upgrades, the Al-Adeed feature allows users to help address issues before they escalate into serious incidents. According to an MoI post on X, the service can be accessed through the app’s “Security” section. Reports can be filed under five main categories: violations of public morals, negative behaviors, threats, breaches in tourist areas, and administrative corruption. These reports go directly to the Preventive Security Department, enabling quicker response and a more proactive approach to law enforcement.
Using the service is simple: open the Metrash app, go to the “Security” section, choose “Security Complaint”, and select the “Preventive Security Department”. From there, tap “Al-Adeed Service Reporting”, fill in the incident details, attach photos if available, and pinpoint the location on the integrated map. Finally, select the complaint type from the dropdown list and submit. The process is entirely digital, requires no in-person visits, and guarantees confidentiality to protect the identity of those reporting.
The MoI stressed that safety is a collective responsibility and encouraged everyone to use the platform to deter crime, promote ethical conduct, and improve community well-being. By incorporating such tools, the Metrash app continues to evolve as a comprehensive hub for government services — from reporting incidents to managing traffic-related matters.
In related updates, the General Directorate of Traffic recently introduced a major improvement to the vehicle ownership transfer system within the Metrash app. The new process is faster, more secure, and user-friendly. Vehicle transfers can now be completed entirely online, provided the car has valid registration and no outstanding traffic violations. A key enhancement is the buyer confirmation step, which must be completed before the transaction is finalized, ensuring greater transparency and protection for both buyer and seller.
