Katara Cultural Village will host the ninth edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S’hail 2025) from September 10 to 14, marking the largest edition in the event’s history.
This year’s exhibition will bring together 260 exhibitors from 21 countries, chosen from more than 420 applicants, Exhibition Manager Abdelaziz Al Bohashem Al-Sayed confirmed. He credited the event’s rapid growth and international reputation for its record scale, noting that S’hail has successfully transformed hunting from a traditional pastime into a commercial and cultural platform with global visibility.
Newcomers to the exhibition include participants from Ireland, Hungary, and Russia, while Spain will present a unique pavilion. Leading regional contributors include major reserves from Saudi Arabia and the UAE Falcon Club.
Alongside hunting gear and falconry equipment displays, visitors can expect falcon auctions, beauty contests, traditional hood designs, and specialised workshops highlighting the preservation of this centuries-old heritage.
Since its launch in 2017 with 87 exhibitors from 11 countries, S’hail has grown into the Middle East’s leading showcase for hunting weapons, falconry supplies, and safari gear, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
Al-Sayed emphasised that S’hail’s strength lies in its wide appeal across Qatari society and strong visitor turnout. Coordinated with similar events in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait to avoid clashes, the exhibition has become a hub for knowledge-sharing, commercial partnerships, and authentic hunting practices.
He added that the event now serves as a prominent regional and international platform, bringing together falconers, companies, and cultural advocates, while playing a crucial role in preserving Gulf falconry traditions for future generations.
