The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast continued hot and humid weather across the country, with a chance of local cloud development and possible rainfall in some areas on Thursday.
According to QMD, Thursday morning is expected to be hazy, with mist likely forming in certain areas. As the day progresses, conditions will range from hot to very hot, with scattered clouds and the possibility of isolated showers in some locations.
Inshore winds are predicted to be southeasterly to northeasterly at speeds of 5 to 15 knots, potentially gusting up to 25 knots during the day. Offshore, winds will be southeasterly to easterly, ranging between 6 and 16 knots.
Temperatures are expected to peak at around 43°C in most parts of the country. Humidity levels are likely to rise, particularly during the night, making conditions feel more uncomfortable.
Sea conditions are expected to be relatively calm, with wave heights ranging from 1 to 3 feet inshore and 2 to 4 feet offshore. Visibility is forecast to be between 4 and 9 kilometers both inland and at sea.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, August 3, neighbouring countries such as the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia experienced heavy rainfall following prolonged periods of extreme heat.
