According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior – Bahrain on November 1, 2025, the body of a missing Bahraini citizen has been recovered from the sea.
The Ministry reported that, in coordination with Qatar’s Coast Guard and Border Security, the Bahraini Coast Guard received information about a body found at sea. A specialized Bahraini security team, accompanied by the missing individual’s family, was sent to Qatar to confirm the identity.
Laboratory tests later verified that the body belonged to the missing citizen, and arrangements are now being made to repatriate the remains to Bahrain.
The Ministry expressed its gratitude to the Qatari Coast Guard, Border Security, and relevant authorities for their cooperation and assistance in the case, extending heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
It added that those who were with the citizen on the boat at the time of the incident have been referred to the Public Prosecution for appropriate legal action.
In light of the coordination with the Qatari Coast Guard and Border Security, the Coast Guard received a report stating that the body of a deceased person was found at sea, and the necessary procedures are being taken to confirm his identity.
