Awqaf Ministry Extends Hajj Registration Deadline to November 15

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that Hajj registration for the 1447 AH season has been extended until Saturday, November 15, 2025. This extension comes in response to high public demand and numerous inquiries regarding registration for this year’s pilgrimage.

Registrations will continue through the Ministry’s official website, hajj.gov.qa, until the new deadline. The Ministry aims to accommodate as many pilgrims as possible in a smooth and organized process, ensuring all registration requirements are met efficiently.

Ali bin Sultan Al Misefri, Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, explained that the extension was prompted by the strong public response to the Ministry’s early registration campaign launched in early October. He noted that the growing number of applicants reflects both the commitment of Qataris to fulfill this pillar of Islam and their trust in the Qatari Hajj Mission’s services and organization.

Al Misefri emphasized that obtaining a health capacity certificate (medically fit) is mandatory before registration. No registration can proceed through the website without this certificate, which must be approved by health centers in Qatar. This requirement aligns with the standards set by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims.

He also clarified that the initial payment of QAR 10,000 made when selecting a Hajj campaign is not a registration fee but an advance amount deducted from the total cost of the trip, depending on the level of services offered by each campaign, including housing, transportation, and subsistence.

For this season, Qatar has approved 27 licensed Hajj campaigns. Al Misefri urged prospective pilgrims to contact the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs directly for inquiries or complaints via the hotline 132.

The State of Qatar’s quota for this year’s Hajj is 4,400 pilgrims. The Ministry has coordinated closely with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure the electronic registration process runs smoothly, facilitating organized trips and high-quality services for all Qatari pilgrims.

Al Misefri concluded by reaffirming that these measures reflect the Ministry’s commitment to serving Qatari pilgrims, enabling them to perform the fifth pillar of Islam safely and with ease, while highlighting the strong cooperation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia in making the 1447 AH Hajj season a success.
